Introduction

The Electrical Engineering discipline of Harbin Engineering University is one of the four disciplines under the School of Automation of Harbin Engineering University, and has the right to grant the master's degree in the first-level discipline of electrical engineering. The Electrical engineering discipline is oriented towards the field of Marine electrical engineering, training senior research and applied scientific and technological talents, and setting the following research directions: Marine electric propulsion, Marine power system, integrated motor thruster energy saving and noise suppression, renewable energy generation and energy storage.

Strive to build academic teams in the research fields of power electronics and power transmission and power system and automation, make them well-known academic teams in the academic field, carry out research on key technologies such as Marine power conversion technology and new energy power generation, storage and application, introduce top-notch talents, optimize talent echelons, and make electrical engineering reach the domestic advanced level. It has become a research base for cutting-edge technologies in the field of ship-sea electrical engineering and a training base for senior research talents in the field of ship-sea electrical engineering.


Academic research direction

Relying on the advantages of the school's "three seas and one core" field, the electrical engineering discipline focuses on the development of power electronics and power transmission and power systems and their automation as the main direction.

Relying on the advantages of the "three seas and one nuclear" field of the school, the electrical engineering discipline focuses on the development of power electronics and power transmission and power system and its automation as the main direction, and has developed the helicopter rotor test bed for Hafei Group, whose specifications are the largest in China, saving a lot of foreign exchange and solving the urgent need of production. The first power station of tidal current in our country is jointly built by this discipline and the School of Shipbuilding in our university. The research projects of tidal current energy successively have accumulated rich experience for the utilization of tidal current energy in our country, and have made a contribution to the development and utilization of new renewable energy in our country. The solar photovoltaic grid-connected inverter researched for Shanghai Nien New Energy Company has been put into production, bringing considerable economic benefits to the company. The substation remote monitoring system researched for Harbin Yihuida Electric Technology Co., Ltd. has been put into trial operation, laying a certain foundation for improving the quality of power supply and realizing the smart grid, and the electric propulsion device for the submarine and the submarine mother ship provided for the 750 test site has been put into reliable operation, ensuring the development of national defense experiments.

It has undertaken major projects such as the high-tech ship project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the special project of Marine engineering equipment research and development and industrialization of the National Development and Reform Commission, and the special project of vehicle and ship power of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and has published more than 40 papers such as SCI and EI retrieval, and applied for more than 50 invention patents.

He has established close academic partnerships with Professor David Yu from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Professor Hong Yingyi from Zhongyuan University in Taiwan. In the past two years, the three parties have exchanged visits and exchanges for more than 10 times, jointly completed a number of high-level academic papers, and jointly carried out scientific research and joint training of graduate students.
