Inertial navigation institute

Introduction

The Institute originated from the hydrographic survey major of Harbin Military Engineering College in 1953, and has evolved through the development of radio navigation, gyro navigation equipment, inertial technology and navigation equipment. 2001 was approved as a national key discipline. In 2007, the institute passed the quality system certification of the New Era Company and obtained the weapons and equipment production license of the General Armament Department and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and passed the national first-class confidentiality certification in 2008. The institute mainly offers "Detection and conversion Technology", "Inertial Device and System Testing Technology", "Precision Instrument Structure Design", "Mechanical structure aided design", "Application of New navigation sensors", "Motion parameter Detection Technology", "Virtual Instrument" and other courses.

At present, the Institute has 19 faculty members, including 2 doctoral supervisors, 5 professors and 4 associate professors. In recent years, we have trained hundreds of master students and doctoral students, completed more than 40 research projects of various types, and won more than 10 national and provincial science and technology progress awards.

Over the years, the Institute has been adhering to the concept of "combining teaching, research and application, training talents and producing scientific research results", developing the professional characteristics of "measurement and control technology as the basis, inertial navigation technology as the main line", and oriented to serve social development and national defense construction; To "innovative" talent training as the goal; To build this major into a domestic first-class "measurement and control technical talent education and training base".

Academic research direction

The research of the Institute covers the fields of inertial devices and systems, inertial/satellite integrated navigation, inertial/Doppler integrated navigation, underwater robots, land unmanned vehicles, etc., and undertakes the development and supporting production tasks of a number of national key models of equipment in aerospace, shipbuilding, weapons and ocean engineering industries.
