Personal profile

Harbin Engineering University pre-appointed professor, doctoral supervisor. He is a visiting researcher at UCLA, Nanjing University. His academic research interests include pattern recognition and computer vision, representational learning and generative models. In recent years, representative papers have been published in the top journals of artificial intelligence IEEE T-PAMI, Pattern Recognition and CVPR, ICML, AAAI represented by the top meetings. He won the first prize of Science and Technology Award (Natural Science category) in Heilongjiang Province as the first complete student. Won the excellent paper award of the Journal of Intelligent Systems. Presided over the "National Natural Science Foundation project", "Chinese Society for Artificial Intelligence - Huawei Academic Fund project" as the representative of more than 10 projects. He served as the young editorial board member of Journal of Intelligent Systems and Applied Science and Technology, and served as a senior reviewer for a variety of top international journals and conferences. I guided my graduate students to win the third prize in the International Gait Recognition Competition and the national third prize in the first Xingzhi Cup Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition. I guided my undergraduate students to win the silver Award of the China International "Internet +" College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the first prize of the National Finals of the National College Student Intelligent Car Competition.

My research involves pattern recognition and machine learning.  I am interested in representation learning,  unsupervised learning, generative model, multi-manifold learning, semi-supervised learning, sparse representation,  multi-view learning, metric learning, transfer learning and deep learning.  As practical application,  I am interested in Biometric Recognition (face recognition, gait recognition), Image/Video Understanding and Analysis.
