Xu Dexin, Ph.D., Associate researcher, member of Jiusan Society, born in September 1979, is the executive deputy director of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Ship Navigation and Control, and the director of the Experimental Teaching Research Center of Intelligent Engineering. Member of the Expert Committee of the National Youth Aerospace Innovation Competition (whitelist of the Ministry of Education), member of the expert database of the National Youth Science Popularization Innovation Experiment Competition (whitelist of the Ministry of Education), member of the Working committee of the National Instrument Professional imitation Alliance, member of the Wisdom Education Committee of the Chinese Society of Automation, Vice president of the Harbin Youth Science and Technology Education Society, Member of Heilongjiang Youth Science and Technology Workers Association. He has won the only grand prize of Altera Asia Innovation Design Competition "Excellent Mentor Award", the Ministry of Education - Huawei "Intelligent base" - "The teacher of Pillars", the Harbin Engineering University Innovation and entrepreneurship excellent mentor, model teacher, excellent class teacher and other honors.

He presided over 1 national defense basic pre-research project, 1 intergovernmental international cooperation project of the key research and development plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 3 horizontal projects of military products. As a key member, he has participated in 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 3 international cooperation projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, 1 national major security foundation project, 1 high-tech ship major special project, 1 national laboratory open project, and a number of military horizontal projects. Since joining the work, he has published more than 20 academic papers in SCI, EI and core journals, and authored 2 monographs. It has obtained 18 national invention patents, won 1 first prize of Heilongjiang Province Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 second prize of National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award, and completed 3 national defense achievements appraisal.

Research direction

His research direction is machine perception and intelligent control, mainly focusing on artificial intelligence and applications, intelligent voice control and human-computer interaction, and carrying out research on cloud, terminal and edge intelligent speech recognition, voice interactive control, speech generation and other related basic theories and methods. Carry out research on the relevant theories and methods of deep learning in the fields of natural language processing and computer vision, as well as the application research of artificial intelligence in object detection and recognition, visual navigation, gesture recognition, human motion capture technology, human-computer interaction technology.

ROS+SLAM robot system, inertia and visual motion capture system, AI+ human-computer interaction, AI+ sports competition, AI+ navigation and positioning, welcome undergraduate students to join in scientific innovation, undergraduate graduates to join in research projects.

Since 2001, he has been engaged in the basic theory and application research of measurement and control technology, inertial navigation, and unmanned aerial vehicle navigation and control. As the project supervisor or technical leader, he has participated in the development and experiment of more than ten types of tasks, such as autonomous orientation system, azimuth attitude reference instrument, positioning orientation navigation device, high-precision north finder, and platform compass microcomputer system. The total value of the contract exceeds 100 million yuan, which is widely used in China's land, sea and air defense fields. The master's thesis assisted and supervised was awarded as the outstanding graduate master's thesis in Heilongjiang Province. Since 2019, I have participated in the deep learning teacher training organized by the Information Technology New Engineering Industry-University-Research Alliance for 30 credit hours, two advanced workshops of "Intelligent Base" (which won the "Bull's Sky" award for deep learning courses), and the artificial Intelligence teaching seminar of "International Training Program for Artificial Intelligence Talents in Chinese Universities", all of which have obtained excellent results and completion certificates.

At present, the focus is on the research and personnel training in the field of artificial intelligence, such as neural network, computer vision, intelligent control and other research directions, and training students to master TensorFlow, Mindspore, PaddlePaddle, PyTorch, Keras and other artificial intelligence software frameworks. Ability of deep learning algorithms, ROS system applications and SLAM algorithms.
