In 1988, he graduated from graduate school and has a doctor's degree.

He was appointed professor of Harbin Engineering University in September 2002.

In June 2006, he was appointed as the doctoral supervisor of Harbin Engineering University.

He is a well-known expert in the field of ship dynamic positioning control technology and hovercraft integrated control technology, and also has deep attains in Marine environment and ship characteristics research, advanced control theory application, industrial process control and application, intelligent control theory and application.
