Recently, the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security announced the proposed selection list for the provincial Leading Talent Teams in Professional and Technical Fields. The "Navigation, Guidance, and Control" talent team from the college has been selected, with Professor Zhao Yuxin serving as the team leader and Professor Zhang Yonggang as the backup leader. The team consistently focuses on the major strategic needs of the nation and national defense in the field of ship and ocean engineering, as well as the key economic development priorities in Heilongjiang province. The team emphasizes tackling critical technologies in new ship navigation and ocean instruments, aiming to enhance the supply capability of cutting-edge technologies in this field. Following a hierarchical structure, the team adopts a "mentorship and guidance" management model, ensuring healthy and sustainable talent development while providing strong talent support for the high-quality development of the college.

Recently, the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security issued the notice titled "Announcement of the 2024 Selection of Returnee Scholars for Preferential Funding in Heilongjiang Province." Associate Professor Chen Liheng from the college has been awarded funding for returnee scholars, receiving a grant of 50,000 RMB.

Dr. Chen Liheng, an associate professor and doctoral supervisor, has been recognized as a Macau Young Scholar and one of the university's Rising Young Talents of Xinghai, as well as a recipient of the Heilongjiang Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund. As the principal investigator, he has led more than ten projects, including General and Young Scientist projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published over 40 papers in leading journals and conferences in the fields of automatic control and artificial intelligence, such as Automatica and IEEE Transactions series, as the first or corresponding author. He also holds more than 10 authorized national invention patents. His main research focuses on intelligent control and decision-making and their applications in the ship and ocean engineering field.
