Brief introduction of reporter
The postdoctoral fellow of the Key Laboratory of Physics and Oceanography of the Ministry of Education, Ocean University of China, is engaged in the research of small and medium scale energy processes in the ocean, taking near-inertial internal waves as the main research object and using observational data to conduct related research. He has published papers in major journals such as GRL, JPO, OD and other top authoritative journals in physical oceanography, and is currently a reviewer for OD journals.
Brief introduction to the report
Based on observations, the characteristics of wind-induced near-inertial oscillation (internal wave) are introduced, the energy characteristics of near-inertial internal wave in the global and regional wind input oceans are evaluated, and the related energy processes are discussed. The core issues discussed include: spatial structure and time variation characteristics of near-inertial energy in the wind input ocean, whether there is a high frequency variation of the mixed layer in the mid-latitude sea, and the energy processes of specific mesoscale vortices
