On August 29, 2023, the School of Intelligent Science and Engineering held a conference on the History of the School of Intelligent Science and Engineering. More than 40 people, including all members of the school's leadership team, representatives of the school's history compilation committee, advisory committee, leaders of grass-roots academic organizations, Party branch secretaries, and teachers' representatives, attended the conference. College Party secretary LAN Hai presided over the meeting.

During the meeting, Zhao Yuxin, assistant president and dean, pointed out that in order to meet the 70th anniversary of the founding of the school, the school launched the compilation of school history in 2021, the main person in charge of the school led the special class of school history compilation, invited 9 retired professors to serve as consultants, and consulted and collated nearly 1,000 historical archives, contacted and visited nearly 100 leaders, teachers and alumni of the school. It took two and a half years to form the History of the School of Intelligent Science and Engineering. The compilation of the history of the school embodies the deep feelings of several generations of leaders, teachers and alumni from the "Department of Automatic Control - School of Automation - School of Intelligent Science and Engineering" and their selfless dedication to the development and construction of the school, which is the true record and reproduction of the development history of the school, and the tribute of all the teachers of the school to the glorious tradition and fighting spirit of the "Harbin Military Industry" revolution. It is a beacon for the College to draw up a new blueprint for development and embark on a new journey. It is hoped that all the teachers and students of the college can draw spiritual strength from history, practice the school spirit of "loyalty, tenacity, unity and innovation", cherish the great spirit of the country, commit to self-reliance and self-improvement with high-level science and technology, never forget the original intention of the "Harbin military industry" people to serve the country, firmly implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents for the Party and the country, and forge ahead under the deep inspiration of spiritual tradition. For the construction of first-class colleges and first-class disciplines, for the construction of high-level research universities, to make new contributions to "four departments" and establish a new monument in the era of intelligence.

At the important moment of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the School, under the careful organization of the school leadership, the school has overcome various difficulties and completed the compilation of the school history, which has realized the ardent expectations of the previous leaders, teachers and students, and alumni for the development of the school and personal growth, and is an important historical contribution to the spiritual inheritance and cultural construction of the school. I hope the School will continue to develop in the future.
