On November 22, the excellent paper review meeting of 2021 China Automation Conference was successfully held online. The conference selected 12 excellent papers in theoretical direction and application direction through online defense. Jiang Nan, a doctoral student under the guidance of Professor Zhao Yuxin of Intelligent College, won the best paper award in theoretical direction.

The winning thesis was written by Jiang Nan, a doctoral student, under the guidance of Professor Zhao Yuxin. Aiming at the problem that underwater vehicle navigation safety is threatened in complex underwater environment, this paper studies an assessment method of underwater vehicle navigation safety considering the influence of ocean currents, which provides auxiliary decision support for underwater safe navigation.

China Automation Conference (CAC) is a large-scale comprehensive academic conference in the field of automation at the highest level in China sponsored by the Chinese Society of Automation, and is the highest specification and most influential academic conference in the field of automation, information and intelligent science and technology. The theme of the automation conference is "the 60th Anniversary of the Chinese Society of Automation and the 110th anniversary of Qian Xuesen's birth". Academician Chai Tianyou, Academician GUI Weihua, Academician Chen Lin and Academician Pan Yunhe are invited to make special presentations by well-known experts at home and abroad. The conference collected a record high of nearly 2,200 papers, including many fields such as learning, optimization and decision-making based on big data, intelligent control theory and methods.
