Zhang Lanyong, male, Han ethnicity, born in October 1983, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering, is a professor, and a doctoral supervisor. From November 2013 to February 2021, he served as the Party Branch Secretary and Deputy Director of the Institute of Automation Engineering. Since March 2021, he has been the Director of the Institute of Intelligent Information Processing and Control Engineering. Since April 2023, he has also been serving as the Assistant Dean of the School of Intelligent Science and Engineering.
He has been engaged in research in the fields of swarm intelligence control of robots, control theory of complex systems, and other related areas. He is recognized as a Young Teaching Master in Heilongjiang Province and a core member of the Huang Danian-style Teacher Team in Chinese universities. He is also the Deputy Director of the Engineering Research Center for Ship Control of the Ministry of Education, the Director of the Heilongjiang Province Robot Motion Association, and the Deputy Director of the Laboratory of Ship and Ocean Control Engineering in Heilongjiang Province. He has presided over multiple projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Defense Basic Product Project. He has received numerous awards, including the first prize for scientific and technological invention in Heilongjiang Province, the second prize for natural science in Heilongjiang Province, the second prize for technological invention, and the third prize for national defense scientific and technological invention. He has also been awarded the first prize for teaching achievements in Heilongjiang Province and the second prize twice.
